I really like the idea that formal responsability comes from within the sculpture, that the latter defines its own form.

At one point, the displacement of material with the hands was done towards the top of the body, with a lightening effect, and that produced wings. Which is how the Bodybuilders became kinds of angels [Watchers]. This evolution, too, is the result of a sculptural process. The work seems to engender itself.
